A little bit wild, a little bit naughty, the ladies love a bit of television bad-boy and Yellow Pages stooge James Nesbitt.
With his lilting Irish brogue enlivening such memorable shows as Cold Feet and er... many other quality slices of adult drama, possibly, Nesbitt (or 'James' to his friends and acquaintances) is set to return to our screens this spring as hard-bitten cop (policeman) Detective Inspector Jack Faceglaze, an unreconstructed ex-alcoholic hardman out of step with the modern world, who bends the rules but gets results.
After being shot in the head 18 times whilst leading a siege on an armed cheese twist robbery at Gregg's the bakers, Jack is brought back from death's door by revolutionary surgery in which his heavily compromised skull is repaired using 'contemporary, funky' moulded glass instead of the more traditional metal plates, which by the late 90's were considered out of vogue, an annoyance at customs, and 'too heavy'.
Promising to literally allow viewers a glimpse straight into the tortured but brilliant mind of a crime-fighting maverick, 'Faceglaze' starts on ITV1 with a six-hour special on Easter Sunday, and continues every night after, into infinity.
